(قوله بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) إفتتح الناظم كتابه باالبسملة ثم بالحمدلة اقتداء بالكتاب العزيز فى ابتدائه بهما فى الترتيب التوفيقى لا أنهما أول ما أنزل فإنه خلاف ما فى صحيح البخاري وغيره فى بدء الوحي من أن أول ما انزل (إقراء) وقد نقل أبو بكر التونسى إجماع علماء كل ملة على أن الله سبحانه وتعالى إفتتح جميع كتابه ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وعملا بخبر ((كل أمر ذى بال لايبدأ فيه ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم فهو أبتر او أجذم اوأقطع)) روايات اى ناقص وقليل البركة فهو وإن تم حسا لا يتم معنى مع خبر((كل أمر ذى بال لا يبدأ فيه بالحمدلله …..الخ)) والمراد بالأمرمايعم القول كالقراءة والفعل كالتأليف, ومعنى ((ذى بال)) اى صاحب حال بحيث يهتم به شرعا اى بأن لايكون من سفاسف الأمور وليس محرما ولا مكروها.
Kiai nadzim memulai kitabnya Tuhfatul Murid dengan Basmalah dan Hamdallah, karena mengikuti kitab Al-Aziz dalam permulaan dengan basmalah dan Hamdallah yang tersusun, tetapi bukan berarti kalau basmalah dan hamdalah adalah wahyu pertamas yang diturunkan karena berbeda dengan yang ada dalam kitab shahih bukhari dan lainnya, yang mana dalam shahih Bukhari diterangkan bahwa pertama kali wahyu yang diturunkan adalah surah iqra’ (إقراء) dan sesungguhnya Abu Bakar telah menuqil dari ijmak ulama semua agamanya allah swt, dan kitab-kitabnya dimulai dengan basmalah dan karena mengamalkan hadits
(كل أمر ذى بال لا يبدأ فيه ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم, فهو أبتر او أجذم او أقطع.)
Setiap perkara yang baik apabila tidak di awali dengan membaca basmalah maka tergolong أجذم , أقطع , أبتر (ada beberapa riwayat yang berbeda) Artinya perkara yang baik tersebut di anggap kurang dan sedikit barokah nya walaupun secara kasat mata sempurna,tapi mempunyai nilai yang tidak sempurna.Juga ada hadist yang artinya setiap perkara yang baik jika tidak diawali dengan Hamdalah juga tergolong أبتر أجذ م) (أقطع yang dimaksud dengan kata (أمر)diatas adalah hal-hal yang umum yang mencakup perkata’an seperti membaca,dan hal-hal umum yang mencakup pekerja’an seperti mengarang kitab dls. maksud dan pengertian dari arti ((ذى بال )) ialah sesuatu yang memang penting secara syara’. dengan kata lain tidak hina,tidak di haramkan dan tidak dimakruhkan.
