Terobosan baru dalam dunia penerbangan yang dikenal dalam ilmu aerodinamika dengan ‘Faktor Habibie’ dan ‘Teori Habibie’. Faktor Habibie dan Teori Habibie merupakan buah hasil pemikiran Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie—mantan Presiden RI ke-3—yang merupakan terobosan baru di dunia penerbangan, mampu diatasi dengan teori-teori yang dirintis olehnya.
Teori ini sangat tersohor dalam dunia penerbangan, hingga ‘UNESCO’ membeli teori ini, dan menjadikannya sebagai bahan dalam pembuatan kerangka pesawat di seluruh dunia. Teori ini sangat berperan besar dalam dunia penerbangan, dari yang sebelumnya rawan terjadi kecelakaan pesawat, hingga berhasil ditanggulangi dengan teori yang cemerlang tersebut.
Karir yang dicapai oleh Habibie yang begitu tinggi bermula dari perjalanan yang tidak mulus. Habibie merupakan anak keempat dari delapan bersaudara. Masa kecilnya dimulai dari pendidikan Sekolah Rakyat di tempat kelahirannya. Pada tahun 1950, ia melanjutkan studinya dari Makassar ke Jakarta. Kala itu umur Habibie 14 tahun, tetapi Habibie tidak suka di Jakarta, karena hawanya yang panas nan padat.
Pada akhirnya, ia meminta pada sang ibu untuk dipindahkan ke Bandung. Setelah pindah dari Jakarta ke Bandung, sebagaimana permintaannya pada sang ibu, Habibie masuk ke sekolah SMA Kristen, sebuah yayasan yang diselenggarakan oleh Kristen Protestan. Keputusan ini murni diambil oleh Habibie, karena biaya administrasi di sekolah tersebut lebih murah dibanding sekolah taraf internasional. Habibie mempunyai julukan ‘Londo Ireng’ yang disandangkan kepadanya, karena kurang lancar dalam berbahasa Indonesia. Hal itu disebabkan keseharian Habibie sejak kecil berbicara dengan bahasa daerah, Inggris, dan Belanda.
Namun, apakah gerangan yanga menyebabkan beliau pada kemudian hari sukses besar? Tidak lain dan tidak bukan, karena beliau memiliki perencanaan yang matang sebelum memutuskan. Jika kalian hendak meniru BJ. Habibie maka setidaknya kalian memiliki konsep perencaanaan sebelum memutuskan sesuatu.
